DIALOG – the future-proof concept

The technical infrastructure of the DIALOG publishing system is based on networked standard components. Up-to-date client/server architecture optimises work process allocation.

A relational server database (Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase or Oracle) lies at the ‘heart’ of the system and can run under Windows or Unix/Linux. Modular design and simple hardware and software scalability ensure that the system is easily adapted to meet the increase in demand posed by large numbers of users.

Inexpensive standard PCs operating under Windows 2000/XP/Vista can be used as workstations. All administration and production data, such as articles, images, logos, pages, advertisers and their ads, are managed centrally in the media-neutral DIALOG database.

All users have quick and easy access to the DIALOG production and archive database at all times in accordance with their allocated access rights.
