Cost transparency is a key factor for editorial management. DIALOG permits the fully automated remuneration of editorial contributions and provides a comprehensive daily overview of expenses.
The automatic assignment of authors' fees takes into account any specific fee payment details stored in the system. The remuneration of the entire product can be checked using electronic verification and any changes can be made later, if required.
As early as the article capture stage, the payee is allocated to the contribution simply by reading out the author code in the text or by expressly assigning a code in the fee data window. The photographer from the IPTC header can be automatically adopted as the payee.
The DIALOG Management Information System allows analyses to be performed according to any criteria without the need for any programming for the purpose of budget monitoring or evaluating in-house and external services. Microsoft Excel can be used as an evaluation tool, for example.
Thanks to the ease of use and integrated fee calculation and accounting, the time required for cost control is considerably reduced. The fee amounts are transferred to the accounting department or via an interface to a commercial data processing system such as SAP.
