Media-neutral production, cross-media publishing

DIALOG allows editorial staff to prepare their content for several types of media at the same time: Print, online and mobile publishing can be operated simultaneously from DIALOG.

As DIALOG is based strictly on XML, the editorial system manages all articles and images independently from the target medium in a media-neutral format.

DIALOG thus guarantees a high degree of journalistic flexibility. At any point between capturing and publishing content, editorial staff can choose which content to output and in which media. Work does not need to be duplicated and time-consuming post-processing for other output channels is eliminated.

An article’s Internet properties are already preset and may be changed by the editor, if required. Text and image content is transferred automatically. The design – even in the case of online publications – is based on integrated specifications for print, online and mobile media.

Furthermore, DIALOG supports every form of editorial organisation ranging from traditional sections to newsdesk and newsroom concepts – all work with homogeneous tools and access a common database.
